Your Ghost Stories

I have always believed in ghosts but when I was 17 I SAW a ghost, two in fact but on separate occasions and in the same place. I had been living in a bed and breakfast that had been renovated, it used to be a farmhouse and estate that had belonged to a family known as the Boolies (where the place got its name).
I had been living their for weeks and had no trouble until one night, it was a hot summer night and I had gone to bed early.
As usual I slept on my side facing the wall, with the duvet up to my face and the moonlight shone through the window at the end of my room. I awoke sometime later for no reason and managed to fall back to sleep but sometime later I awoke once more, to find I wasn't alone. I woke up laid on my back, with my arms folded behind my head and the duvet folded neatly halfway down the bed.

What awoke me was a tall dark figure stood between me in the bed, the bedside cabinet and the window.
I could see the light outside through the dark figure, it made a long loud noise like it was taking a breath and I managed to reach out for my glasses. I was awake, my glasses were on and I could still see this shape standing over me. I turned on the bedside lamp but the shape remained and the noise got louder as its jaw gaped, only after I turned the light did it fade but the noise lasted a little longer. I had been terrified but there was nowhere I could go and nothing I could do, which is how I think id managed to do what I did.
I swore I would never tell anyone, in case they thought I was mad but the first think my dad said when he saw me the next day was, you look like you have seen a ghost.. so I told him.
I hadn't slept at all, left the lights on and my landlord complained.
So the next night I slept under the covers in the dark but the next morning he said he had looked out during the night and all the lights in my room, were on.

In the same place the night after I had managed to sleep with the lights off and my landlord complained he had seen them on, although I had turned them off. I saw another ghost, I believe the first was an adult and I feel it was male but this one I think was a child.

At the end of my bed there is a wardrobe on the left and on the right a space between two doors, one out of the room. The other leads into the bathroom, there was a poster on both the space of wall and the wardrobe. I awoke to find a small shape at the end of my bed, I put on my glasses and saw what I think was a child.. looking up at the poster on the wardrobe.

I could make out certain features like the hairline and hands, as once more there was light outside.
Unlike my first encounter I did not feel threatened but I moved out as soon as I could, I never told my landlord what I saw and don't know if the place had a history of haunting.
I believe the ongoing demolition, renovation and building work may have been the cause.

My mom was a single parent, she raised my three sisters and I by herself. The year was 1988 and we had moved into this house next door to my great aunts, this house as I was told by my neighbour friends as well as my aunt, was ever rented for longer than 3 to 6 months.

I was 12 years old when we moved in and nearly eighteen when we moved out. The first incident happened not to long after we moved in, my mom was raising finches and her finches had laid eggs, the eggs never hatched and soon after the finches died. My baby sister was 6 years old and she was having the most violent seizures while we lived in the house. Time after time my mother would rush her to the hospital and the doctors could not figure out what was causing the seizures. They (the doctors) did tests for epilepsy and all sorts of other tests. They all came back negative. My sister who is a year younger than I am, would wake up in the middle of the night and crawl into bed with me because she said she felt like someone was trying to have intercourse with her. no one was ever there. At the age of 15 I had stayed home while my mom and sisters went shopping , I was sitting on the couch and doing homework with the television on, all of a sudden the volume turned up to the max and the channels started flipping rapidly by themselves. I was scared, I turned off the TV. and went to sit back down, the TV. turned itself on and repeated the channel surfing and volume adjusting. I then got up and unplugged the TV. from the wall.

I heard foot steps above my head like running and then a very low voice, (bass) yelling, and then I heard kids screaming and running above my head. (we didn't have an attic , we had a crawl space). the stereo and the TV. still going and now all this going on above my head, I started to freak out but I was frozen, I felt like I was being lifted off the couch by my hair, and when I looked down toward the ground, I realized that I had in fact been lifted at least two feet off the spot I was sitting in by some unseen force. I started to cry for my uncle who had passed away five years before and tried to pray.

I screamed let me go, the TV. and stereo turned off and I fell back unto the couch, the house was quiet. I sat on the porch till my mom got home after that. There where other strange occurrences in the house but I could fill a book with all those happenings. I hope this helps. Oh when we moved out of the house my baby sisters seizures stopped. The house still stands in the same spot.
